Harry Potter fans will soon be able to pick up their wands, put on their robes and immerse themselves in the wizarding world at a new theme park opening in Tokyo on Friday.

Built on the western site of the beloved Toshimayan amusement park, which closed in 2020 after 94 years, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo recreates several iconic film locations, such as Diagon Alley and the Ministry of Magic.

Torben Jensen, vice president and general manager of Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo, said the location near the Japanese capital is ideal, especially as global tourism has picked up following the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The first tour in Asia and the number of visitors coming to Japan will also put us at the center of the regional market,” Jensen told the media during a tour of the park. Make

Tickets cost 6,300 yen ($45) for adults, and Jensen said they sold out in August.
