Saudi woman Haya Sammari and her longtime friend, Kuwaiti Faye Al-Omran, believe their once-in-a-lifetime adventure on California’s Pacific Crest Trail will inspire other women.

According to Arab News, these two Arab women are taking part in this campaign for the world’s longest hike on the west coast of the United States from Mexico to Canada.

Both women are well-known in the Gulf region for participating in activities such as running, freediving, surfing, skydiving, hiking and camping.

The adventure takes five to six months and covers 4,265 km, 26 national forests, seven national parks, five state parks and various forests.

The two Arab women aim to complete their journey at an average of 32 kilometers per day in late September or early October.

This region (Pacific Crest Trail) from Mexico to Canada through the US states of California, Oregon and Washington is considered the longest in terms of hiking trails.

Like many other adventurers, Haya Sammari and Faye Al-Omran began their adventure in early April on the Campo Trail, from the deserts to the snowy mountains near the US-Mexico border.

The two women are also promoting their trip on their social media accounts, where Haya Sammari has over 63,000 followers and Faye Al-Omran has over 11,000 followers.

Through her social media account, she is sharing her daily details on this adventure and how she is enjoying the amazing and beautiful scenery of nature on these trails.

The hiking buddies say they were encouraged by their friends and family members until they set out on the adventure.

The two have taken part in various long journeys and many more adventures together in the past seven years.

Hiyalsamari has said that she has been trekking for ten years and she loves walking and this passion of mine is important to relieve any kind of stress.
