According to local news agency Globo, the incident took place at the Brazilian beauty pageant on Saturday.
A video of a man breaking the crown of a beauty pageant winner has gone viral on social media.
In the video, a woman can be seen crowning one of the finalists Nathalie Baker and Emmanuelle Bellini.
As she begins to crown Emmanuelle Bellini, runner-up Nathalie Baker’s husband comes on stage, snatches the crown from her hand and throws it to the floor.
Apart from this, the angry husband can also be seen shouting in the video and not only that, while taking his wife with him, he once again hit the crown hard on the ground, breaking it.

Meanwhile, all the attendees, including the winning candidate, were stunned.

According to the New York Post, in this case, the security team of the competition intervened and caught the person who broke the crown backstage.
“They didn’t believe the result was fair and that’s why they vandalized it,” says pageant coordinator Maloney Hensich.
She further says that ‘We strongly condemn this incident that happened at the time of crowning in the beauty pageant.’
Organizers insisted that the pageant’s judges were right to declare Bellini the winner.
