London:
Burberry’s Winter 2025 collection, unveiled on Monday at the Tate Britain Museum in London, is painted on country grounds and features equestrian styles such as leather trench coats, velvet brocade suits, Jodhpur pants and high-leather boots. I’m here.
The star-studded cast includes Naomi Campbell, actors Leslie Manville, Richard E. Grant, Elizabeth McGovern, and Lila Moss, modeled after supermodel Kate Moss.
It’s the second show to turn sales around when CEO Joshua Schulman takes the reins at Burberry and begin implementing new strategies focusing on outerwear, scarves and the brand’s British heritage.
The catwalk was carpeted with bright blue, Lee made his trademark in Burberry, and the neoclassical architecture of the museum was complemented by drapes in Impressionist prints inspired by British landscape artists.
The colour palette of the warm brown, grey and taupe collection also evoked the British countryside with red and yellow accents.
The trenches and brocade jackets woven in Jacques Yang were inspired by the imposing home tapestry and wallpaper, in which silk pajama shirts and trousers evoke the home.
“A great Friday night escape from London to the countryside is a encounter with the countryside for a long rainy walk and cutting in the great outdoors,” Lee said of the inspiration for the collection.
Accessories included an oversized scarf with thick fringes and leather boots with Burberry signature checks.
To coincide with the new emphasis on the scarf, Burberry sent each guest a dark green and a navy check scarf along with an invitation.
The Burberrys was the closing show at London Fashion Week, the second round of the 2025 Fall/Winter Catwalk Calendar, which began in New York and went to Milan and Paris. Reuters
