Who will be returning from the original cast?
It’s official. In Blake Lively, Anna Kendrick brings their iconic characters back to life again and reunites with Paul Feig, the director of the first film. But the fun doesn’t stop there. Almost the entire original film is back, including Henry Golding, Andrew Lanells, Aparna Nanchala and other other films that made the first film so memorable.
The team behind the script is back too. Jessica Sharzer (who wrote the original film) is active with Paul Feig and Laeta Kalogridis (known for her work on Shutter Island).
New faces to join the cast

Allison Janney, Alex Newell and Michele Molone join the ensemble, bringing a new tier. Morrone you might recognize from Lively’s Instagram and Netflix franchises 365 daysplays Emily’s new fiance, the dashing Dante.
Meanwhile, Newell’s character Vicki appears to be part of Emily’s bridal party, but things in her world may not be as perfect as they look.
Janney’s role remains under the rap for now, but she makes a mysterious appearance in the trailer and adds to the character’s growth list that must be kept eye on.

How will Blake Lively legal drama affect the film?
Blake Lively’s ongoing legal battle with her ends with our co-star, director Justin Bardoni, but it’s unclear whether that will affect the release of the film. However, director Paul Feig wrote on Instagram: “Blake was supportive and just a dream to work with. She’s the best and great collaborator and I’m her biggest fan.”
