The new graphic novel tells the life story of late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in his own words, from his childhood in Zanzibar to becoming one of the world’s most famous rock stars.
Z2 Comics joins forces with Universal Music Group and Mercury Songs Ltd. Freddie Mercury: Lover of Life, Singerit is described as “the first graphic novel to honor one of the greatest figures the world of music has ever known.”
Released in November, the book looks back on Mercury’s life in and out of life.
“The story is told in his own words, and each chapter gives us a glimpse into many aspects of his life,” Z2 Comics said in a statement.
Mercury died in 1991 from AIDS-related pneumonia.
