Richard Huff, a 51-year-old dad who calls himself an “ink addict,” recently opened up about the negative reactions he gets. Huff and his wife Marita are parents to a total of seven children, and say they are “no different” from other families. However, Richard, who has numerous tattoos on his body, says that strangers are constantly making fun of him online because of his appearance.

Richard got his first tattoo at the age of 17. “It became an addiction, I started with my feet and worked my way up,” he said said. Now, 85% of his body is covered in ink, including his children’s names and his daughter’s lips.

“I 100% want to get a tattoo within the next four years” said Richard. “I don’t know if it’s the pain or the artwork you put on yourself, but when you do this it becomes fascinating.”

His tattoos led his children’s friends to call him “creepy”.

His penchant for tattoos is not without its downside. Richard says that the children at his children’s school are often afraid of him. She is the daughter revealed“They say, ‘That’s a little scary,’ and I say, ‘No, my dad’s not scared, he’s good at tattoos.'”

Richard’s wife is Marita agreed She was initially intimidated by his looks, “I judged Richard based on his looks at first, but once I got to know him a little, he actually has a big heart.”

Richard says he doesn’t let all the negative reactions to his appearance stop him from being a good father to his children. “I participate in the PTA and I go to all my kids’ activities,” she said said. Cruel comments online criticized Richard’s decision, saying, “I’m not against tattoos, but honestly, does he really need a tattoo on his face?”

But many came to Richard’s defense, with one commenter saying, “Everybody’s talking about his face tattoo. He likes it. He got it. He is a good father. Let him be.”

Although he received negative reactions, Richard was not deterred by the criticism.

“If someone can make negative comments like that, there’s something wrong with them and they have someone else to judge,” Richard said. “This is what we did and we’re happy. We’ve been together for six years and our kids are happy and that’s all that matters to us.

Richard He says Although the cruel comments online are a bit over the top, they haven’t changed his love for his family. “Getting a tattoo doesn’t scare my kids, it doesn’t make me a bad father, it just gives my kids a different perspective on life.”

Tattoos can represent significant moments in our lives, and one such 91-year-old woman decided to get a tattoo later in life to commemorate a special moment forever.
