HomeHealthE-Cigarettes Double Risk of Asthma in Youth - Health

Texas: A new study recently found that e-cigarette vapor increases the risk of asthma in young people who have never smoked.

According to media reports, researchers said that although e-cigarettes contain less toxins than regular cigarettes, they still contain a mixture of harmful chemicals and increase the risk of respiratory diseases.

Tehun Rowe, a researcher at Texas A&M University and the lead author of the study, said in this regard that to reduce the use of e-cigarettes, we have to take several measures, including the harmful effects of e-cigarette use. These include raising awareness, enforcing stricter regulations and promoting alternative approaches to mental health.

Asthma causes wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness and cough. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it can be controlled by avoiding medications and stimulants.
