Islamabad: The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) on Tuesday fixed new prices for four cardiac stents, ARY News reported quoting sources with knowledge of the matter.

According to sources, the price of US Promus PREMIER was fixed at Rs 58,765. The price for the US-based DESyne X2 NECSS Novolimus Drug-Eluting Stent System was fixed at Rs 72,450.

Sources said DRAP has fixed the price of Japan’s Ultimaster Sirolimus Eluting Coronary Stent System at Rs 65,507.

The price was fixed at Rs 53,130 for Cre8 Amphilimus Eluting Coronary Stent from Turkey/Italy.

It may be noted that the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, last month, considered and approved the summary of the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination in respect of fixation of maximum retail price of four new cardiac stents.
