The Labor Law of the United Arab Emirates states that “if a worker has spent less than one year and more than six months in employment, he shall be entitled to annual leave of two days per month”.
According to Emirates Illum, the labor law explained that “if more than one year has passed in the service of the worker, in such a case his annual leave will be 30 days”.
“If the employment of a worker is terminated, in such a case he shall be given annual leave according to the number of days worked by him in the last year”.
The Ministry of Manpower and Emiratization says that the annual leave of the worker is fixed in the labor law. The employer has the right to fix the start date of the leave. It also has the power to divide the worker’s leave into two parts’.
