The UAE Ministry of Manpower and Emiratisation has released statistics regarding Emiratisation in the private sector.

According to Emirates Daily, the ministry said in a statement that “Dubai ranks first in terms of Emiratization in private sector companies and institutions, where 79,000 Emiratis have been provided jobs by the private sector.” The rate of local employees is 47.4 percent.

The Ministry of Manpower stated that the rate of local employees in the state of Abu Dhabi was 38.6 percent, 7.1 percent in Sharjah, 2.5 percent in Ajman, 2.0 percent in Ras Al Khaimah, 1.7 percent in Al Fujairah and 0.7 percent in Umm Al Quwain.

“Indigenous citizens are more numerous in ten sectors of the private sector,” the ministry says.

32.4 percent in the business service sector, 14.7 percent in management services, 14.4 percent in business and correctional services, 13.5 percent in wholesale and retail trade, 13.4 percent in construction, 12.8 percent in support industries, 10.2 percent in financial and insurance activities and Ten percent are in mining.’
