In the United Arab Emirates, the Abu Dhabi Court of Civil and Administrative Affairs dismissed the case against the employee of a private company to pay damages.
A private company filed a claim for 1 lakh dirhams for termination of employment without notice.
According to Emirates Al-Youm newspaper, a company demanded in the court of Abu Dhabi that the employee had left the job without giving written notice before the completion of the trial period.
The company’s lawyer had further said in his claim that the court should pay 15 thousand dirhams in addition to 1 lakh dirhams to compensate the company for the loss caused to the company for giving up the job without notice and 8 thousand dirhams for the expenses incurred on Iqama. Go’.
The stand was taken by the lawyer that ‘in the contract that was made with the employee, his basic salary was fixed at 2000 and the total was 5000 dirhams. The employee left the job without notice after a month due to which the project the company was working on was delayed and suffered losses.
Meanwhile, the court while issuing its verdict said that ‘no concrete evidence has come forward in favor of the claim, therefore the case is dismissed’.
