For the 12th year in a row, the United Arab Emirates has been chosen as the country where most young Arabs want to live.
According to the Emirates news agency WAM, in a survey of Arab youth, residents aged 18 to 24 years mentioned the name of the Emirates and said that they want their own nations to emulate it.(ASDA’A BCWThe annual survey is the largest of its kind in the Arab world with over 200 million young people.
Almost one in four young Arabs in the survey chose the UAE as their place of residence, which is 24 percent, according to the data.
The survey ranked second with 19 percent in the US and the same proportion in Canada.
Qatar is among the top five model countries for the first time in eight years, followed by Qatar at 14 percent and the United Kingdom at 13 percent.
Sunil John, founder of the surveying firm, said that Qatar’s inclusion in the list and especially being in the first five countries is noteworthy.
He said that Qatar’s inclusion among the initial countries reflects the very positive impact of hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022 in November and December last year.
The hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2022 football tournament in Qatar has had a steady and positive impact on both the regional economy and Arab pride.
Additionally, 22 percent of young Arabs in the survey named the Emirates they wanted to emulate, followed by the United States at 19 percent, Canada at 16 percent, Qatar at 15 percent, while Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom topped the list with a combined eleven percent. They are in fifth place.
It should be noted that this is the first time since 2017 that Saudi Arabia has been voted as such a model country in this type of survey.
Sunil John has stated that the UAE is extremely important for job opportunities and for Arab youth to express their full potential.

The founder of the survey firm added that the Gulf Cooperation Council states are increasingly investing in world-class infrastructure as they move towards trade, finance, tourism, education and healthcare.
Arab youth look to these countries as model nations because they love to live a better and fuller life for themselves with the job opportunities and prosperity that comes here.
