French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty Bruno Le Maire, opening the Vision Gulf event in Paris on Tuesday, said that the business conference represents trade relations between France and the Gulf states.
According to Arab News, the purpose of this opening ceremony on the occasion of the business conference is to provide business partnership opportunities between the European country and its partners in the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
The first day of the business conference was attended by over 700 people including leading economists, government ministers, small business managers, startup representatives and senior executives, including 350 from the Gulf.
The event provides a platform to promote cooperation in a wide range of fields related to energy and environment besides trade, sports and culture.
On this occasion, French Minister Bruno Le Maire told the delegates that in view of the threats posed by climate change to health, well-being and economic stability, the transfer of green energy to the Gulf countries, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and water saving has an important role to play.

The French Minister said that the United Arab Emirates has been chosen to host the United Nations Climate Change Conference in November this year in recognition of these challenges and the need to mobilize the necessary resources to address them.
Bruno Le Maire said that important political, economic and cultural relations between France and the GCC countries have progressed over the years.
