It should be noted that Sudan has been embroiled in a deadly conflict since mid-April, when fighting broke out against the country’s army chief, Abdul Fattah al-Barhan, and his former deputy and the current commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Daglu.
More than 1,800 people have been killed since the armed conflict in Sudan began on April 15, according to the Data Project.
According to the latest figures from the United Nations, nearly two million people have been displaced by the conflict, including 476,000 who have sought refuge in neighboring countries.
The fighting is not stopping despite the declaration of cease-fire several times in addition to the talks mediated by Saudi Arabia and the United States.
