Woody Harrelson is the epitome of a TV actor making a successful transition to the big screen. The 60-year-old Texan became a household name in the late ’80s with his hilarious role as the mysterious, good-natured Woody on the sitcom Cheers before heading to the movies. It wasn’t long before he earned Oscar nominations for his work in The People Vs. Larry Flynt, The Messenger 2010 and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri for 2010. While he may not have taken home the top prize, he’s certainly cemented himself as an A-list actor. Most recently, he can be seen in Solo: A Stars Wars Story and the superheroine Venom.
In his personal life, Woody has had a similar trajectory. After a joke wedding in 1985 to Nancy Simone that lasted a year, Woody would go on to have his personal assistant Laura Lowe in 1987. They eventually married in 2008, and welcomed three daughters along the way.
