Martina McBride, born in Kansas on July 29, 1966, is an American country music singer-songwriter and record producer. She’s known for her pop-country-style sound, similar to Shania Twain and Faith Hill. In total, Martina has thirteen studio albums, two greatest hits compilations, one “live” album, and two additional compilation albums. Eight of her studio albums and two of her compilations have an RIAA Gold certification, or higher. Having sold over 14 million albums in the U.S. alone, Martina has won the Country Music Association’s “Female Vocalist of the Year” award four times and the Academy of Country Music’s “Top Female Vocalist” award three times. Martina is a 14-time Grammy Award nominee. She wed music sound engineer John McBride in 1988 and and the couple have three daughters: Delaney Katharine (born in December, 1994), Emma Justine (born in March, 1998) and Ava Rose Kathleen (born in June, 2005). When she’s not creating music, Martina enjoys cooking, spending time with family and philanthropy work. Martina will make her debut into The Country Music Hall of Fame in 2021.
