Sanjay Dutt resigned due to health issues
Sanjay Dutt’s exit from ‘Welcome 3’ surprised many. According to Pinkvilla, the actor had to leave the project due to health problems. “Sanjay had managed to shoot for only one day on Madh Island,” said a source. The source added: “His role required extensive action scenes, which led him to re-evaluate his involvement given his health condition.”
The actor had started shooting last December, and his withdrawal significantly changed the course of the film. Akshay Kumar had earlier shared an Instagram video celebrating Sanjay Dutt’s entry and highlighting their chemistry on the sets as they rode horses and bikes together.
Anil Kapoor And Nana Patekarabsence
Another important headline was that Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar were not included in the cast of ‘Welcome 3’. The exclusion of these names, known for their iconic roles as Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai in previous films, drew great reaction on social media.

Western India Cine Employees Federation (FWICE) suspended the production of the film, citing unpaid dues to technicians on ‘Welcome 2’. FWICE Chairman BN Tiwari said: “We have informed all the actors of the film, including Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani, that the federation has issued a non-cooperation order against Firoz Nadiadwala due to default in payments.”
The conflict broke out after checks given by producer Firoz Nadiadwala bounced. FWICE insisted that the outstanding Rs 2 crore had to be paid before the production of the film could continue. This financial impasse jeopardized the film’s production schedule, casting doubt on the film’s anticipated release.
Despite many setbacks, ‘Welcome 3’, now titled ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, remains one of the most anticipated movies of 2024. The film is scheduled to release on December 20, 2024, with a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez.
