The visible bruises on former President Donald Trump’s right hand have been attracting attention online, and the White House attributes it to frequent handshakes.
Breeze was prominent during the meeting between French President Emmanuel Macron and President Trump held at the White House on February 24th. After being widely distributed on X (formerly Twitter), White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt spoke to speculation, saying Trump’s hands were devoted. Continuous engagement with the public.
“President Trump is the man of people,” Levitt told NBC News. “His commitment is unwavering and he proves it every day,” she added that if he frequently waves “everyday, every day” it leads to visible bruises.
This is not the first time Trump has responded to concerns about the marking on his hand. During his 2024 Time of the Year interview, he provided similar explanations and greeted thousands of people with past bruises.
Despite public interest in his health, Trump’s medical records have not been made public in recent years. He disclosed them during the 2015 presidential election, but he did not do so in 2024 despite his previous promises. His opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, released her medical records during the election to demonstrate fitness to her job, but Trump did not follow suit.
In November 2023, his private doctor issued a letter stating that Trump was in “excellent health.” But with no further disclosure, speculation about his happiness persists.
