Sandhya Theater Incident: Allu Arjun Visits Court to Complete Bail Formalities

Allu Arjun visited the court

The ‘Pushpa’ actor was surrounded by police and media personnel. The actor was accompanied to court by police.

The actor’s bail plea was heard on Friday at the Nampally Metropolitan Criminal Court in Hyderabad.

Earlier on Friday, a Hyderabad court granted bail to Allu Arjun in the case.

After being released on bail, Ashok Reddy, the actor’s lawyer, told reporters: “He (Allu Arjun) was given conditions to appear at the police station. Bail was granted… The court was satisfied that this was not a case of innocent homicide not amounting to murder. Therefore, the court decided to release him on bail.”

He added that the court ordered his execution 50,000 with two sureties and this is the legal procedure that he (the actor) has to go through.

Reddy further said that the quashing petition is still pending in the Telangana High Court and the next hearing is scheduled for January 21, 2025. “We will take steps to pursue this quashing petition in the High Court,” he added.

The incident happened when Allu Arjun was attending the premiere of Pushpa 2 at the Sandhya Theater and waved to the crowd from the sunroof of his car. The mass gathering quickly descended into chaos. A woman named Revathi was killed and her child Shri Tej was seriously injured.

Following the incident, Allu Arjun was arrested but later released on bail.

Earlier, the child injured in the incident, identified as Shri Tej, showed signs of recovery after being on ventilator for a long time. The child was reported to have first responded on December 24, 2024.

Bhaskar, the father of the injured child, shared, “The child responded after 20 days. He answers today. Allu Arjun and the Telangana government support us.”

Allu Arjun’s father and famous film producer Allu Aravind also announced financial assistance 2 crore to the family of the deceased.
