Irrfan Khan: Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar has revealed a secret. Sutapa Sikdar told that the first offer for the film ‘Raat Akeli Hai’ came to Irrfan Khan, which was rejected by Irrfan. Sutapa told the reason for rejecting the film that Irrfan found the script of the film boring, due to which he refused to sign the film.

In fact, during the launch of the book Irrfan Khan: A Life in Movies (June 10), the late actor’s wife Sutapa Sikdar was present. When Sutapa came on stage during the launch of this book, she told how Irrfan used to choose his films after reading the script.

Sutapa Sikdar said, “Irrfan wanted an entertaining script and not a preaching one. This mattered a lot to him.” Sutapa further told about Irrfan that there was a time when I used to read his script and used to say that it is boring and sometimes it used to happen that he also used to say that this script is very useless.

Sutapa’s disclosure on the film ‘Raat Akeli Hai’

Regarding the film ‘Raat Akeli Hai’, Sutapa has revealed that Irrfan did not like the script of the film. Sutapa said, “I remember I had a conversation with him once about this film. , But he said what’s new in this? Why should I do this film? And Irrfan did not do this film in the last because he was not well. This film is of Honey Trehan. I liked the script. I Also asked Irfan that what is there in it that you did not like?”.

In response to her own question, Sutapa told that she mainly liked the script of this film, but at the same time she said that ‘I am feeling boring somewhere’. He did not only see his role in his film, but it was important for him how the whole film would look. Let us tell you that the film Raat Akeli Hai was released in 2020, in which Nawazuddin was in the lead role.

Irfan Khan’s health deteriorated due to cancer in 2018, for which he went to London for treatment. After returning from there, he completed the shooting of the film Angrezi Medium. Once again, Irrfan Khan died on April 29, despite being admitted to the ICU due to ill health.
