On June 15, Szarita Laitphlang posted a video on Twitter providing updates on the health of Shah Rukh Khan’s former school mentor Eric S. D’Souza. He shared that D’Souza’s condition has “worsened” and urged Shah Rukh Khan to visit him soon.

“I would like you to take a few minutes to visit him.Mumbai is not far from Goa. It’s only an hour’s flight… His health is really deteriorating and he can’t talk anymore,” he says in the clip.
“This feels like my last request, my last attempt to reach out to @iamsrk and humbly request the presence of Brother Eric S. D’Souza. My brother’s health is weakening every day, his condition worsening with each passing moment.” An excerpt from his tweet reads.

Szarita Laitphlang clarified Shah Rukh Khan’s connection with Eric S. D’Souza, describing him as SRK’s former mentor. She added an old video of Shah Rukh Khan and Eric. Faruk Sheikh‘s TV show Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai, tweeted.
His second tweet emphasized the importance of the meeting, saying: “For those wondering why such a meeting is important, understand this: Brother Eric was more than a stranger to him; he was a mentor, a guiding light.”

Shah Rukh Khan reunited with his former mentor Brother Eric S. D’Souza after 15 years in the TV show Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai. D’Souza, who was in charge of SRK’s school in Delhi and lived in Shillong, shared a deep bond with Shah Rukh. During the show, SRK expressed his admiration for his mentor, saying, “All of us, C-gang (childhood friends) and St. I speak for everyone who was educated at Columba School or anywhere else he taught, if there is anyone there I respect my parents; he is Brother D’Souza.”
