The trailer looked promising as it showed good chemistry between a married couple who share a common love of cricket. Since the movie is releasing today, advance bookings are looking good because ‘Cinema Lovers’ Day‘ offer.
According to the ‘Cinema Lovers Day’ campaign, the ticket price on Friday is Rs 99 and nearly 200 thousand tickets of the film have already been sold. According to Sacnilk, these advance ticket sales on Day 1 are great thanks to this offer. Thus, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ is expected to have a better opening than ‘Article 370’. Based on these initial estimates and pre-sales, the opening figure of the film can be expected to be in the range of Rs 6-7 million. Of course existing reservations can be added to this.
‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ is not facing competition from any other movie as it is releasing alone. Incidentally, the IPL is also over now, so it has more scope to attract people to theatres, and if the weekend attendance numbers are good, it can do so through positive word of mouth.
