British actress Jameela Jamil was seen on day six of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London on Saturday, days after she attended the launch of a restaurant in collaboration with Choose Love, a non-profit organization that supports refugees and the internationally displaced.

“Support the amazing work of refugees,” Jamila captioned an Instagram Story showing her at the event at Manzi’s Soho, a new seafood restaurant in London.

Fast forward to Saturday and the actress attended Wimbledon in an eye-catching red outfit designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Jamila attended the ceremony alongside her musical partner, James Blake.

She stopped for a photo with “Ted Lasso” star Hannah Waddingham, who sat behind Jamil in the stands.

Jamil had a number of reasons to celebrate this summer, including the news that she’d join the voice cast of Pixar’s “Elio,” the 28th animated feature film from Pixar Animation.

The British-Pakistani podcast host and presenter – best known for her fan-favorite role as Tahani on ‘The Good Place’ – will be joined by American actor Brad Jarrett.

Disney released the trailer for the animation in June.

The film, set for release on March 1, 2024, centers around Elio, an underdog with an active imagination who inadvertently finds himself drawn into the “Communiverse,” an interplanetary organization with representatives from different galaxies.

Mistakenly identified as Earth’s ambassador to the rest of the universe, Elio must form new bonds with alien lifeforms, survive a series of experiments and discover who he really is.

Young American star Jonas Kipreb will voice Elio, actress America Ferrera will voice his mother, and Jamil and Garrett will voice a pair of ambassadors that Elio meets on his journey.

“Guys! I’m in a Pixar movie!!” Sharing the trailer, British Pakistani Jamila told her 3.8 million Instagram followers.

“Every time I finish my job, I think to myself, well, that’s probably all, nobody’s going to hire me again,” she wrote. “It’s time to go back to school, and then something wild just like this comes along. A distant dream come true. I don’t know how long this luck of mine will last, but I’m still so grateful to be a part of things like this. The cast is so talented, the art is so beautiful, and the story is divine.”

The film is directed by Adrian Molina, screenwriter and co-director of the 2017 Academy Award-winning animated fantasy film “Coco,” and is produced by Mary Alice Drumm who was co-producer of “Coco.”
