In a recent episode of Madness Machayenge, Juhi shared a sweet story about her experience working with the director Nagesh Kukunoor in the movie3 Deewarein‘. He also remembered how surprised he was when Nagesh first told him how much he liked his work. QSQT.
He shared, “I was working in Nagesh Kukunoor’s 3 Deewarein and shooting in Hyderabad. He told me that he was a fan of mine and that he liked my work Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT). Since I worked with him, I thought he was joking and being sweet.
As their working contact developed, Nagesh invited Juhi to his home for lunch and showed her a priceless poster of his film hidden in his cupboard. “One day after the shoot, he took me to his house for lunch and showed me the QSQT poster taped to his locker. He told me, ‘Maine aaj tak nahin utaare (they are still stuck here. I didn’t take them out)’. It’s interesting that he’s a fan and I’m working on his movie and he was directing me. Life can be amazing.”
The film ‘3 Deewarein’, which also stars Jackie Shroff and Naseeruddin Shah, tells the story of a documentary filmmaker who documents the rehabilitation of three seasoned criminals in prison and discovers forgiveness in his own life.
