Zayed Khan made his debut in Bollywood with the film Chura Liya Hai Tumne and gained fame opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film Chura Liya Hai Tumne. Main Hoon Nahis only box office hit. Despite setbacks in his career, he went into business and became richer than many successful colleagues.
Zaid, son of Sanjay Khan and nephew of Feroz Khan, began his film career in 2003 at the age of 22. He gained recognition with the films Main Hoon Na and Dus, both successful at the box office. However, he has struggled as a solo lead, with 10 flops between 2005 and 2012, including Fight Club and Mission Istanbul. His last film, Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene (2015), was also a flop. In 2017, he returned to television with Haasil after acting in 15 films in his career – one hit, 13 flops and one average success.
Despite his waning acting career, Zayed wisely diversified his earnings using his business management degree. He has invested in startups and businesses and by 2024, ET Now reported that his net worth was Rs 1500 crore. Although Zayed has neither confirmed nor denied this figure, it beats many stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Prabhas and Allu Arjun.
In an interview with Subhojit Ghosh, the actor emphasized the importance of living within your means. He stressed that the need to maintain an image on social media often leads to people overspending and accumulating debt. He warned against this cycle, advising caution to avoid financial pitfalls and unnecessary burdens.
Zayed criticized peer pressure to show off, calling it harmful and irresponsible. He encouraged youth to develop resilience and strong character rather than succumb to societal expectations of an extravagant lifestyle.
Earlier this year, Zayed Khan announced his plans to return to acting via Instagram, although he kept details of his comeback project under wraps. He also stated his intention to balance his acting career with his current business endeavors.
