Pooja Bhatt, who arrived as a contestant in ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’, during a conversation with Cyrus Broacha and other co-contestants, told how she overcame alcohol addiction at the age of 44. Pooja clearly told, “I had a problem with drink and so I accepted my addiction and then decided to quit.” He emphasized that addiction and recovery are often subject to judgment in Indian society.

Pooja did not want to give up alcohol addiction secretly
Pooja Bhatt further added, “Society gives men a license and thus they can openly talk about being drug addicts and recovering from alcoholism. However, women do not drink alcohol openly and hence they I don’t recover openly. I used to drink openly so when I thought about quitting alcohol I realized why should I recover in the closet?” Being a public drinker, she realized that she did not want to recover in secrecy.

He believed that this is something that everyone should know about. He said, “People used to call me an alcoholic but then I said that I am a recovering alcoholic.” While talking to the contestants, Pooja told that she had stopped drinking at the age of 44.
