After this there were reports that the makers of the film would spend another 100 crores to fix the VFX.

Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana was a superhit

Adipurush is based on Ramayana, in which Prabhas will be seen in the role of Lord Ram, Kriti Mata Sita and Saif Ravana. Let us tell you that Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana proved to be a huge hit on the small screen in the 1980s. At that time technology was not even that advanced and the budget of the show was also very less. Despite this, the show became very popular among the people due to its strong star cast. In this, Arun Govil was in the role of Prabhu Shriram, Sunil Lahiri was in the role of Laxman and Deepika Chikhaliya was in the role of Mata Sita.

How were the scenes of Ramayana shot?

Now seeing the great Vfx of Adipurush, people are wondering how the makers of the show would have used vfx in the 80s? How would the battle scenes of Ramayana have been shot?

Talking about this from Aaj Tak, Ramanand Sagar’s son Prem Sagar told that due to lack of technology, the scenes of the show were shot using jugaad. He told that many tricks were used during the shooting. If the scene was to be shot in the morning, then the smoke that came out from burning the wood was shown as fog.

Prem further told that for a scene of Lord Shiva, a screen was kept in the background, in which a slide show of different planets was played. He told that the flying of arrows and the flashing of lightning in the war scene were shot with the help of Special Effects Generator (SEG 2000).
