HomeEntertainmentA strong woman is not a good woman in our dramas: Rabia...

Actress Rabia Butt is currently seen in the role of a police inspector in the drama serial ‘Ganaah’ which deals with issues like human relations, abuse of women and suicide.
In this drama full of suspense, action and emotions, the acting of Saba Qamar and Sarmad Khost is getting appreciation, but Rabia Butt is being liked a lot as SHO.
Urdu News spoke to Rabia Butt to know the reason why she rarely appears in dramas and how was the experience of playing the role of a police officer in Sinn.
Rabia Butt told Urdu News in an interview that ‘while choosing any play, I give importance to the fact that the character has something to speak. Just bring tea, bring water, get up, sit down. Such scripts don’t impress me because I think the character should have something to do.’
He said that he is not interested in doing too many projects. Sometimes odd roles are offered because we don’t have strong women here and the good women are weak. That’s why she doesn’t accept many roles.’
Regarding the role of the police officer Sabiha in the drama Sinn, he said that playing the role of a controversial police officer in the drama was not so difficult for me because I only had to mold Rabia into the role of a police officer. What would it be like if you were in the police? I didn’t prepare much for this role, I worked on the tone and that’s what I do with every role I do.’
He said, ‘My own personality is so strong that I cannot lose it for any role. ‘
Most actors say that to play a role well, you have to go deep into that role, but Rabia disagrees, saying that ‘if you go deep into a role, you have to go deep into your own personality. If you lost depth, it meant that you had no personality of your own.’
He said that ‘When I talk about the drama sin, when I go home, I am just Rabia, but as soon as I come to the set in the morning and wear the uniform of a police officer, I return to the role.’
Regarding the criticism of the stories of Pakistani dramas, he said, “If you don’t want to watch anything, then where are the ratings coming from?” Dramas based on useless stories are also seen, but since we are in the habit of telling lies, we do not admit it.’
He further said that ‘whatever is criticized gets watched the most because TV reflects your society. Mojo is shown in the stories, he is a part of the society.
Rabia Butt has made a name for herself in acting and modeling in dramas, but she has no intention of trying her luck in films. ‘A film requires a lot of money, I think we don’t have enough resources. Offers keep coming but I am not interested in working in films.’
