Bollywood’s new film ‘Aadi Purush’ is facing controversy after its release.

According to NDTV, the Allahabad court has accused the makers of Aadi Purush for hurting public sentiments through the dialogues of the film.

The court has made the film’s assistant writer Manoj Nishar Shukla a party in the case and directed him to submit his reply within a week.

The court heard a petition seeking a ban on the film Aadi Purush, which is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana.

The petition reads, ‘The dialogues of this film are a huge problem. The Ramayana is very sacred to us.’

On this, the bench said in its remarks that ‘if we turn a blind eye to this too because it is said that the people of this religion are very tolerant, will this thing be tried?’

The Allahabad court questioned the Censor Board as to whether it had discharged its responsibility properly.

The court said, ‘It is a good thing that people did not break the law after this film. Some scenes are of A category (nudity), it becomes very difficult to watch such films.’

On this occasion, the Deputy Solicitor General informed the court that the objectionable dialogues had been removed from the film, upon which the court asked him to ask the Censor Board what they were doing.

The court said on this occasion that ‘only this thing will not work. What will you do with the scenery? See the instructions, then we will do what you want.’

“If the screening of the film is stopped, the people whose sentiments have been hurt will get some relief.”

When it was argued that a ‘disclaimer’ was inserted in the film to warn people, the bench said, ‘Do those who insert the disclaimer think their countrymen and youth are fools? We have seen that people have gone to the theater and the movie has been turned off. Thank God, there was no rash.’

Note that Aadi Purush stars Saif Ali Khan, Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and is directed by Om Raut.
