The fine line between frugality and thrift is one that no one knows better than the middle class. It is so thin that sometimes it is not even visible and the middle classes keep crossing it while smuggling their dreams. Sometimes these dreams are fulfilled but at the same time relationships, friendships and loves are destroyed.
Hey, don’t worry, I didn’t come to explain the main plot of this new movie ‘Zara Hit Ke Zara Bach Ke’ to you. The craziness of this basic idea is brilliantly captured by director Laxman Othikar, who has previously made films like Mimi and Lakka Chappi.
This time they have chosen Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan for the lead roles of the film, who did not disappoint at all in terms of acting. It seems that the Bollywood industry has got a replacement for Kareena Kapoor in the form of Sara. In this film, Sara’s spontaneous acting, delivery of humorous and sarcastic dialogues (comedy timing) and especially the angry dialogues spoken in the role of a Punjabi girl are worth listening to.
Vicky Kaushal, by the way, fits all the social criteria of Shaadikhana Abadi i.e. Tall, Dark and Vijaya (Tall, Dark and Handsome) and also played action roles in films like Yuri, Sardar Adham and Sam Bahadur. is emerging as a stable performer.

To get a separate house, there are some conditions that Kapil and Soumya have to double digit (Photo: NDTV)
In this film, he played the role of a boy living in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, for which he also spent a lot of time learning the Indorei dialect. The spontaneity of his dialogues is no less than Sara’s dialogues. According to my opinion, Vicky Kaushal can give tough time to Kartik Aaryan and Shahid Kapoor in future.
The story of the film is about a husband and wife who dream of their own separate house and intend to cross any boundary. Kapil Chawla (Vicky Kaushal) and Soumya (Sarah Ali Khan) are ready to divorce in order to get a new house. But if there is a divorce, what is the use of the house? Both of them dream of a separate house so that the whole family can get rid of it.
After learning about getting their own house through legal and illegal means, both of them find out that the government has also launched an ‘Apna Ghar Scheme’. The flow of efforts is diverted towards the government scheme but some conditions come to the fore which then double digit has to be done.
The film’s screenplay writers include Maitreya Bajpai and Rameez Khan along with director Laxman Othekar who has done full justice to all the dialogues.
All middle-class families who live together (in the joint family system) have an abundance of alternative ironies for their deprivations, which they shoot at each other to make up for their mental anguish. This is what the writers have fitted into the story in the form of sarcastic and humorous dialogues of the film.
The supporting actors in the film have performed as lively as the main characters. This indicates that the casting of the film has been done in a professional manner.
Although this film is not a masterpiece and may not be in the running for any award, it is a family entertainment film that talks about a social issue. The songs of the film are also being liked by the audience, while the video for the song “Phir Aor Kya Gawa” has been viewed more than 84 million times on YouTube.
In terms of rating, the film has crossed the 7-8 mark on IMDB within the last week out of 10, while Times of India gives it a rating of 1.3 out of 5. The story of the film is old but based on the dialogues and songs the film has managed to grab the attention of the audience.
