The Golden Globe Awards has been sold and its buyer has shut down the controversial Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).
HFPA is an international organization of entertainment reporters founded by 1943 I was placed.
According to the British news agency Reuters, Eldridge Industries has bought the Golden Globe Awards in association with Dick Clark Productions, which will handle its management.

“Today marks an important milestone in the evolution of the Golden Globes,” said Todd Buehle.
