The teaser of Bollywood actor Sunny Deol’s famous film ‘Ghadar Ek Prem Katha’ sequel ‘Ghadar Two’ has been released.

The teaser of ‘Ghadr 2’ was released on Monday on other social media platforms including YouTube where it is getting a lot of likes.

The film ‘Ghadar Ek Prem Katha’ released in the year 2001 is considered as one of the successful and blockbuster films of the Hindi film industry.

The story of the film revolves around the Partition of 1947 where Tara (Sunny Deol) and Sakina (Amisha Patel) get married but their happiness turns to grief when Sakina’s father forces her to live in Pakistan. She is separated from her husband.

‘Ghadar Ek Prem Katha’ is popular even after 22 years of its release due to its story along with songs, patriotism and dialogues.

Talking about the story of the new sequel of this film, the released teaser shows the Pakistani city of Lahore in the background of 1971 where anti-India protests are taking place. During these protests, Sunny Deol (Tara Singh) gets down from the bus and confronts the protesters.

In the teaser, the lyrics of the famous song ‘Ud Ja Kale Kaavan’, ‘Ghar Aa Ja Pardesi, Ke Teri Meri Ek Jandri’, are also heard.

Ghadar 2 stars Ameesha Patel in the lead role alongside Sunny Deol while the cast of the film also includes Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra and Luv Sinha.

Anil Sharma, who directed Ghadar Ek Prem Katha 22 years ago, has also directed Ghadar Two.

Ghadar 2 will be released in theaters across the world including India on August 11.
