Azfar Rehman told Urdu News that ‘Now I try to do dramas based on issues. Before Mere Banjao, I had worked in ‘Akher Kab Tak’ and ‘Nazar-e-Bad’ while ‘Akher Kab’ was a drama based on child abuse.’

‘All these plays were based on issues that are not discussed.’

Azfar Rehman says that I consider it my social responsibility to play an issue-based role. I try my best to highlight the issues through my character.’

‘My characters always look normal. If we look around us, there are people who look very well-educated and well-educated, but no one knows what is brewing in their minds.’

Talking about the story of the drama ‘Mere Ban Jao’, he said that ‘when we got the new internet, dish antenna, at that time parents had fixed a time when TV could be watched. Children were told which movies or shows to watch and which movies and shows not to watch. Today, parents have abdicated their responsibilities. Small children have phones in their hands. This age is for sharing and caring, for learning, but we have created chaos in their personality. When they grow up, they carry this personality with them.’

“If we teach our child to walk, to talk, to hold a knife, to hold, to take a bath, to go to the bathroom, why not tell them that it is right or wrong,” he said.

Regarding the quality of dramas produced today, Azfar Rehman feels that just like raita, metha, biryani, everything is on the dinner table. Similarly, there should be all kinds of drama on TV and viewers should have the right to watch what they want.’

Azfar Rehman was seen showing the essence of acting in some films as well as dramas. In this regard, he said that ‘I have done three films and I think that my film career is over now. I feel that Pakistani drama is much bigger than film, I have rejected ten to twelve films.
