Jessica Lange has revealed that she has no plans to go back to American horror stories. When asked about a potential comeback during the night premiere of her new film’s long-day journey, Lange responded frankly: “Ah, Christ, no!”

Speaking to Irish radio station Spin 1038, the Emmy-winning actress dismissed the speculation, saying, “I haven’t done it for over 10 years, so no, I’m not doing it.” Even when she pushed whether she would consider appearing in the rumoured final season, she simply replied “no.”

Lange was the central figure in the first four seasons of FX’s hit horror anthology, portraying iconic roles like Constant Langdon and Fiona Good. Her performance won her two Primetime Emmy Awards. She later appeared as a guest in American Horror Story: Apocalypse (2018) and changed her murder character Constance.

While Lange ruled out returns, AHS creator Ryan Murphy gave a hint in an interview last fall. It showed that longtime series stars Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters could return to Season 13.

With Lange’s decisive response, it’s clear that she has moved out of the horror franchise, and lets fans guess whether American horror stories will bring other fan favorite actors back to their final chapters.
