Prakash Raj and Shivarajkumar Apologize to Siddharth: After Prakash Raj, Kannada actor Shivarajkumar apologized to Siddharth after his press conference was stopped by pro-Kannada activists. Those outraged over the Cauvery water dispute created an uproar over the Tamil actor’s press conference during the promotional event of his film. Chitha stopped. Shivarajkumar’s apology video went viral on social media and he said: “On behalf of my industry, I would like to say to Siddharth that we are very very sorry. I was heartbroken by what happened, which will never happen again. Kannadas are good. They love all movies and all languages. Only people from Karnataka watch any kind of movie.” Earlier, the Kannada actor had spoken about the issue and stated that both the states should come together and find a workable solution for the welfare of the people.

A netizen praised Shivarajkumar and wrote, “This is the way to handle such issues, he has made it clear that #Shivanna is the leader. His intention is for both farmers of the state to be happy.” Earlier, Prakash Raj had also written a heartfelt apology for Siddharth. He tweeted, “Instead of questioning all the political parties and their leaders for failing to solve this decades-old problem….Instead of questioning the useless parliamentarians who did not pressure the Center to intervene…To disturb the common man and artistes like this…as a Kannadiga…is unacceptable on behalf of Kannadigas .sorry #Siddharth #just asking.”

According to PTI, the people who disrupted Siddharth’s press event in Bangalore were members of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Swabhimani Sene. Chittha is written and directed by SU Arun Kumar. The film was produced by Siddharth Edagi Entertainment and released on Thursday.
