Actor Huma Qureshi and comedian Kapil Sharma Mahadev has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the betting app case. News agency ANI’s Twitter handle posted the following news: “ED summons comedian Kapil Sharma and actor HumaQureshi in connection with Mahadev betting app case: ED Sources”.
First actor Ranbir Kapoor and now Huma and Kapil were called into this investigation. According to reports, more than 15 celebrities are also under the ED’s scrutiny.

What is the status of Mahadev online betting app?
ED had earlier said that Mahadev Online Book App is an umbrella syndicate that runs online platforms that allow illegal betting websites to register new users, create identities and launder money through a layered network of ‘benami’ bank accounts.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has frozen or seized assets worth Rs 417 billion following searches at 39 locations, including Kolkata, Bhopal and Mumbai, in connection with the investigation into betting app Mahadev Online Book, a betting platform headquartered in the UAE.
