Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 It will start streaming on ZEE5 from October 6, the platform announced on Wednesday. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film featured Deol reprising her iconic role of Tara Singh from 2001. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Produced by Zee Studios, the film also stars Ameesha Patel as Sakeena and Utkarsh Sharma as Charanjeet. Streamer ZEE5, managed by Zee Entertainment Enterprises, shared the digital premiere announcement on its official X page. “The countdown begins! Tara Singh is ready to win your hearts! India’s Biggest Blockbuster is coming to #ZEE5 in just 2 days! #Gadar2OnZEE5,” ZEE5 said in the post.

Gadar 2 hit the screens on August 11. The Hindi period action drama has emerged as one of the biggest box office successes post the Covid-19 pandemic, grossing nearly ₹500 crore so far. The film also starred Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra and Simrat Kaur.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Gadar 2 minted Rs 40 million on its opening day in theatres. It became the third best opener of 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan. Gadar 2 is the sequel to the hit movie released in 2001. In the film, Sunny Deol played the role of truck driver Tara, while Ameesha Patel played Sakina in the film, which was set during the partition of India. 1947.

Recently, the makers of Gadar 2 held a grand success party in Mumbai where many big actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Varun Dhawan, Dharmendra, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani and Shilpa Shetty celebrated their presence.

At a press conference, Sunny reacted to the huge success of the movie and said, “I was quite stressed over time and I don’t know why I felt like God had entered me when this movie released in theatres. I cried and laughed all night and evening. So I met my father (Dharmendra) and said no, I am not drunk, I am happy no matter what I do.”
