They mentioned that players often work long hours, some even needing IV drips to keep going. Haarsh mentioned that people on the set slept very little, sometimes less than 15 hours a day. She said she has seen directors and creators fall ill from lack of sleep. Bharti shared that some of the female actors would have to work with IV drips as they were not allowed to go home until their scenes were filmed.

During the episode, Haarsh said: “I have seen directors and creators suffer heart attacks and health problems due to sleep deprivation. “People drank tea, smoked cigarettes, ate only fast food, suffered from acidity, but they could not control it.”

They also described how focusing on capturing the perfect shot sometimes trumped the health and safety of actors. It’s a harsh reality of the industry that they hope will change. Bharti added: “I have even seen girls working on daily soaps with drips. They were not allowed to go home because the footage had not been released by then.” Harsh later also revealed how much importance the director One gives to his perfect shots on camera and does not care about the actors going through a ‘life or death situation’.
