Amar Akbar Anthony Writer Prayag Raj Dies at 88: Amar Akbar Anthony author Prayag Raj passed away at the age of 88. Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Shabana Azmia and others expressed their heartfelt condolences. The veteran script and dialogue writer and director passed away at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on Saturday. He has also been associated with blockbuster movies like Coolie, Naseeb and Suhaag. His other notable works include Roti, Dharam Veer, Geraftaar and Gair Kanoon. Prayag Raj’s last rites were scheduled to be performed at the Shivaji Park crematorium in Dadar around 10 am on Sunday. His son Aditya said, “He passed away peacefully at his home in Bandra at 4 pm on Saturday. As reported by PTI, he had several ailments such as heart disease and age-related problems for eight to ten years.

The late master had more than 100 films as a writer and several films as a songwriter. “Last evening we lost another pillar of our great film industry,” Amitabh Bachchan tweeted. Anil Kapoor shared a throwback photo with Prakash Raj and captioned the tweet as follows: “I am truly sorry for the loss of late Prayag Raj. It was a privilege to work with him in ‘Hifazat’. May his soul rest in peace,” he said, adding folded hand emojis. .Shabana Azmi also tweeted, “Sad to hear about the demise of writer, director, actor Prayag Raj. REST IN PEACE”.
