K-Drama actors Cho Byeong-Kyu and Song Ha-Yoon are at the heart of the controversy ahead of the premiere of the series “History of the Losers,” which is scheduled to debut on February 26th.
The show explores love and relationships and how everyone can find themselves on the losing side, based on the popular webtoons of Kim Poon and Sim Yunzu. Available for Wavve and Watcha.
However, this release is hidden by past bullying allegations against both actors. Cho Byeong-Kyu faced accusations of school violence, including allegations that he harassed his classmates, shot him with a BB gun and used verbal and physical threats. His agency, HB Entertainment, denied the allegations and said the original accuser later approved the production of the story.
Meanwhile, Songhawon has been accused of assaulting a classmate in high school. Her agency, King Kong, also denied the allegations, calling them “completely false” and threatening legal action.
Despite these controversies, “The History of Losers” is expected to continue with a promotional effort focused on social media platforms. The actor’s past sparked debate among fans as the show’s premiere approached.
