Ben Affleck was in for a nasty surprise Tuesday when he returned to his home to find a massive wildfire scorching part of West Los Angeles.

Ben was seen arriving at the bachelor pad he was renting in the upscale Pacific Palisades area of ​​Los Angeles following his split from Jennifer Lopez. According to the Daily Mail, he was returning home the next day after working at the office.

The 52-year-old celebrity, dressed in a navy blue suit and smart white shirt, looked “shocked and devastated” as his left arm dangled from the car.

In addition to destroying several high-end properties in the region, the flames also affected Ben and J.Lo’s latest film, Unstoppable.

The film, starring J.Lo and produced by Ben, was scheduled to debut Tuesday night at the DGA Theater Complex in West Hollywood. However, the event was canceled by Amazon MGM Studios.

Following the cancellation, they released a statement saying, “As much as we look forward to celebrating this wonderful and inspiring film with you, safety is our top priority. We encourage everyone to watch Unstoppable on Prime Video, available worldwide on January 16th. Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe.”

Several celebrities were injured due to a forest fire in Los Angeles

Many celebrities, including Ben Affleck, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler, Tom Hanks, Miles Teller and Jhene Aiko, live near Ben’s home in Pacific Palisades.

On Tuesday, actor James Woods posted a video of the fire on Instagram and said he was quitting.

Meanwhile, California Gov. Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in Ventura and Los Angeles counties, saying wildfires had already destroyed large numbers of buildings.

Los Angeles Fire Chief Christine Crowley said more than 13,000 structures were at risk and that nearly 30,000 residents were under evacuation orders.
