SSGC has announced gas timings in Ramadan

Gas will be provided to consumers during Iftar and Suhr hours during Ramadan.
For the convenience of Pakistani people, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) announced on Wednesday that gas will be supplied to customers during Iftar and Suhr hours during Ramadan.

According to the SSGC helpline, gas will be provided to customers in Karachi from 2.30 pm to 7.00 pm for Iftar, while for Suhr it will be available from 2.30 am to 5.00 am.

The utility, however, said gas pressure would remain low from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as it faces a shortfall of 250 million mmbtu.

Gas

The company added that customers will face complete suspension of gas or low pressure during the remaining hours.
Shutting off gas supply during the holy month of Ramadan is madness. It’s summer, not winter. Syed Masroor, a resident of Korangi, said that the government is making our lives miserable.

“They are increasing the tariff on a daily basis, but not providing gas when it is most needed. What is this?” he added.

According to sources, gas supply has been suspended in North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Nagin Chowrangi, North Nazimabad, Gulshan Iqbal and other areas since 8 am.

Disgruntled consumers complained that the cut off gas supply made it impossible for them to cook food for patients, the elderly and children who were unable to fast.
